How It Works
Long Term Care
The Empowered Brain Program is a from home, 12 month clinical program for patient therapy and caregiver training. Guaranteed appointments take place on a weekly basis with multiple sessions per week in the beginning phase of care.
Working Forward, Measurable Outcomes
On day one of the program, your Neuro Cognitive and overall Health Status is evaluated using standardized metrics. These metrics are reviewed throughout the 12 month clinical program while working towards tangible functional changes in your daily living and performance.
Brain Based and Body Based- Multi Modality
Integrates multiple Brain Based disciplines into a single program, performed entirely from home. This reduces the stress of coordinating appointments between various medical professionals and their often conflicting approaches.
In this manner, our therapeutic approach targets brain based imbalances, cardiovascular health, movement and balance components, exercise, nutrition, supplementation and meal plans, and relational components.
Modalities include Functional Neurology, Functional Medicine and Integrative Nutrition, Chiropractic, Rehabilitation, Cardiovascular and Strength Training, Neuro Emotional Technique, Lifestyle Medicine and more.

Changing Brain Function Requires Repetition
The Empowered Brain Program is based upon the model of a neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity refers to the brain's ability to relearn and reorganize functions via neuronal connections. Achieving meaningful results over a 12 month period requires and emphasizes repetition, reinforcement and novelty.
Program Structure and Goals
Bridging health concerns and lifestyle needs with integrative clinical disciplines.

Program Principles
Individualized
You are a person with needs, desires, interests, and values - not a condition and not just a patient. All care is designed exactly for you, for who and how you are. Whatever your starting point, we will work forward!
Relational
Our relationship is focused across a long term span, with clear objectives, goals, to share in your life and values and towards comprehensive achievements - immediate and long term. Working together as a team!
Constructive
This is a Neuroplasticity model of care, provided and designed to be administered and reinforced daily to near daily, not just during clinical sessions, it builds on itself week by week. Strengthening neuronal connections and optimizing brain-body function accumulatively, day by day!
Cutting Edge
Neuroscience is a growing frontier. The Empowered Brain Program strives to utilize the most up to date research and studies on dementia, brain function, clinical equipment and technology, in your hands!
Therapy for the Patient, Training for the Caregiver
Our program is fixated on achieving lasting change. Training you and your caregiver / family member to be specialists in managing your condition is not only a primary objective, it is a completely novel approach across the healthcare profession.
The caregiver / family member is included as a partner in the physician-patient team dynamic as part of the Empowered Brain Program. He or she is trained to perform various assessments and provide hands on care for many of the therapies provided as guided by Dr. Pine.
By the end of the 12 month program the caregiver / family member will be a specialist in utilizing certain therapies together with appropriate therapeutic equipment for the individual.
Various therapeutic and clinical equipment are offered to the patient as part of the Empowered Brain Program at no additional fee- as part of the 12 month package. Other "plus addons" may be recommended for private purchase on a case specific basis. More information is provided during your first consultation.
All therapeutic equipment included as part of the 12 month Empowered Brain Program is retained by the patient, to be utilized without limitation.
Evidence Based, Functional Goals
We utilize standardized Neurocognitive testing, blood labs and imaging because comprehensive assessments best direct effective interventions. Our multi disciplinary methods are evidence based and empirically proven.
The Empowered Brain Program uses CNS Vital Signs for Standardized Computerized Neurocognitive Testing for all our patients, upon initiation of care and quarterly throughout the program as a comprehensive metric for progress. Our goal is to achieve real changes, and it is important to regularly apply a standardized metric.
Ongoing CNS Vital Signs testing is made available to the patient as part of the Empowered Brain Program, at zero additional cost.
Used by thousands of medical facilities worldwide, CNS Vital Signs testing establishes a comprehensive picture of the individual's neurocognitive and behavioral brain health status- for early detection, evaluation, management, treatment and outcome documentation purposes.
Standardized parameters tested include memory, attention, executive control, processing speed, cognitive flexibility, social acuity, working memory and much more. It is very user friendly and all testing takes place from your computer at your home.
We recommend our patient's family members to take the basic CNS Vital Signs test to investigate any familial brain-health status concerns. This testing is available in 50 different languages.
We encourage our patients to perform an initial volumetric Brain MRI and later in the 12 month program as we track measurable changes. Routine blood work / laboratory panels may be requested as appropriate.
Together, the results of these critical components are interpreted and applied with the below disciplines to address each patient's individual needs and goals.
